School Supply Carnival

Go to local schools on registration days and do a school supply carnival. Set-up fun games and give pencils, notebooks, folders etc as prizes. It keeps the children busy while parents fill out all of those "important" forms.

Back Packs

So many children in need receive school supplies from various sources. However, many children do not have a backpack to return to school. Neighborhood children could be invited through a filer passed out door to door to come to your church to get a backpack. Putting hygiene supplies(toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo etc) in the backpack will help children start the school year clean. Giving children in need a backpack helps them to be just like everyone else on the first day of school. At Kokomo Urban Outreach we pass out over 2oo bags each school year.
